NEWSEUM EXPERIENCE DETAILED DESCRIPTION

As an additional option, you can enjoy the inauguration parade from the Newseum, which is directly on the parade route but indoors so you have a choice to watch the parade from large glass sweeping windows (there is limited space for this experience) or a mega jumbotron.  (Please note that the terraces to the Newseum will be closed to the public).  As the only museum fronting the inaugural parade route and the world's most interactive museum, the Newseum offers a place to take in the historic moment without inconvenience. The Newseum’s large glass windows will offer a sweeping view of the festivities. Indoors, the Newseum will feature several viewing screens including a large jumbotron and presidential inaugural exhibits, including an exhibit of historic front pages announcing Obama’s election. The Newseum is sold out to the public Inauguration Day. Please note that you will receive a ticket for public entry to the Newseum on Inauguration Day, but there will not be any additional privacy to this event or our group.  Also, once you enter the Newseum, you will not be able to go back out the front door on Pennsylvania Avenue.  The only way you will be able to exit is on C Street, (Group Entrance) and you will have to go back through security.  Once you leave, however, you will not be able to return, if the Newseum is at capacity. The doors open at 10 a.m. and remain open until 10 p.m. (early arrival is strongly recommended).
